I often get asked, “Mel, do you know any other freelancers!?” The answer is, “Yes! I do.” Below is a list of Freelancers for Authors. Please note that I’m not endorsing anyone. In order to endorse someone, I would have to hire them and work with them for a time and as much as I love and adore you, I don’t have time for that! Instead, this is a place for you to start your research. The descriptions were written by the freelancers themselves. – Mel

Kelly Oakes – Virtual Assistant
I started this company because of my love of books and wanted to do something that involved them, but at the same time; wouldn’t make me hate them.
It wasn’t until a BIG move across the U.S. was scheduled with my husband’s company that I had the idea, or fear, “What the heck am I going to do for work in Florida?” So, one night in 2013 at a convention and sitting in a van with Jade Lee outside of a strip club in Vegas (100% real), she mentioned she was losing her assistant. I jumped at the chance and said, “I’m starting my own company, I’ll be your assistant!” True story. The move fell through, but the new company and job was born.
Fast forward to 2016…I had the opportunity to finally move to Florida and I jumped at the chance. I’m still blogging and assisting authors, but doing it from a beachside town called Gulf Breeze, FL.
I’m a Mom, book lover, reviewer, blogger and jill of all things! and I’m still in love with books.
